In Him – Your Confessions – Pt 1

Romans 10:9-10: Believing in the heart results in justification, but confessing with the mouth confirms and speaks out salvation.
The link between what a person speaks and what they actually believe It’s probably one of the most important discoveries someone can make. Besides the new birth, this is vital, dare I say the first thing to believe and to realize you have whatsoever you say.
Let’s look at Proverbs 6:2 it says Thou Art snared with the words of your mouth and you are taken with the words of your mouth. God is not joking around when He’s talking about what you say is important. Because what we confess, our confessions, that’s the rule that we live by. Even if you don’t believe that its true and the world knows this as well. They would say “we are manifesting” this and that.
Have you ever analyzed what you say and have looked back and thought wow I said that the other day and it happened. Many times people don’t connect the dots when it comes to what they say to what happens in their life. Often people just wander this world day after day saying this and saying that but the real truth, the absolute truth is you have whatsoever you say. Let’s take a look at Mark 11:23 for verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith. Let’s meditate for a second on that because Jesus is talking about the things that come out of our mouth. We’re talking about the concept that we are in Christ Jesus but before we get to that moment of seeing that, you have to realize that with your HEART you believe and with your Mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
If you really believe a thing in your heart, positive or negative and you say it with your mouth you will have it. That is the principle and that is what we live by. In chapter 4 of the book of Hebrews it says seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens Jesus the son of God let us hold fast our profession. That profession is literally the Greek word homologeo which means confession. This is why Romans is so important when it says: when we believe with our heart and we confess with our mouths that Jesus is raised from the dead, we are now born from above and we are in Christ seated at the right hand of the father in heaven.(Eph 2:6)
1st John 3:1 states: behold what manner of love the father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God in verse 2 says beloved now are we the sons of God.
The scripture says now that we are Sons we are heirs joint heirs with Christ, now that is the good news of the Gospel. That is something that we need to remind ourselves everyday with our mouth and with our confession that we are Heirs of God joint heirs with Jesus.
Romans 8:14 says for as many as are led by the spirit of God they are the sons of God the spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. See, over and over again the scripture shows us that we are not just regular people. Regular people are dead in their sins and trespasses but we are now in Christ, so we find out what the word of God says about us and we confess it and we believe it and we walk in it because we are now in Christ, Sons of God.
This is the same principle, the same teaching Jesus taught the disciples. This is the same way Jesus taught Adam in the garden and Abraham in the wilderness and Moses on the mountain. He taught them to speak the truth, the word, the reality of who they are and to believe it. He even changes Abrams’ name to Abraham so that his confessions change.
So now that we’ve got confession down, the concept that we have whatsoever we say, let’s look at Hebrews chapter 9 verse 12 it says neither by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us. Christ has done it, He has made us righteous and He has grafted us in Him. This solid rock of revelation we can stand on and proclaim to ourselves and to the enemy.
Proclaim: I AM IN Christ Jesus.
2 Cor 5:17, You are a NEW creation in Christ Jesus, old things are GONE, the NEW has COME. PRaise the Lord we are NEW. That’s the reality. That is the stance we take everyday.
Confess these today where you are and believe them with all your heart:
I am in Christ Jesus.
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus.
all things are passed away behold all things are new.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and my standing with God is secure and my prayers Avail much.
And because I am in Christ Jesus right now in the present tense there is no sense of condemnation about me I am born of God.
I have received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness and I reign as a king in life and I have dominion through Jesus Christ.
As a new believer this may be odd declaring promises and things from the Bible but as you realize this is the meat of the word of God this is the foundation that he has made us righteous and made us to sit with him in Heavenly places in Christ. Your position in Christ is the number one foundational Doctrine as a believer because it gives you the worldview and the philosophy of who you really are.
Ephesians 2:6 says that we are seated with Him in Heavenly places and this is not a metaphor, your spirit is brand new it is no longer dead but it is alive in Christ and it lives in the Heavenly places in Christ and here on Earth. Now how does that work, I don’t fully know I don’t have to know but I believe the word of God and I know his word is fully true. When I was born again just like you I was transformed and changed and I believe that and I’ve been walking that way ever since and you are walking that way from this moment on. We are In Christ.
In Him – We are Sons of God – Pt 2

January the 7th, 2001 I was sitting in the back of a church in San Antonio Texas. Things were not going as well as I wanted them to in life so Called up my parents and I said what do I do. you know they told me why don’t you go to a church that we know of and see what happens. look I was a believer but I really wasn’t following the Lord I wasn’t acting like a son I wasn’t living like a Kingdom Minded person. to be honest I didn’t even realize I was in Christ Jesus I just knew he was real.
so there I was in the back of that church, it was Jubilee outreach, I’ll never forget it. I lifted up my hands, I looked at the ceiling, closed my eyes and I said God my life is in shambles. I’m no good at living it. I need you to take over I Surrender. It was at that moment everything changed, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, I’m here I got you. That was the first time I’d ever heard or recognized the voice of God and something fired up inside of me. Something happened and I came alive in Christ. I started to realize I was not just ordinary. Peter writes we are peculiar people and if you really think about it, Christ in us makes us peculiar. In fact I became a Son of God right then and as the text states in Galatians 3:26: So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.
So as a Son something I need to do is act like a son, live like a son. What did Adam do in the garden when God taught him how to name the animals. He SPOKE it out. This goes back to our previous lesson about confessions. We do the things that God does. Hebrews 11 says, the worlds were framed by the WORD of GOD. So now in Him I have all these Sonship benefits. It would be a dishonor to not live in that sonship. 1 John 3: Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. Amp: We are named and called and counted the children of God.
Paul writes in the book of Romans: As many as are led by the Spirit are the Sons of God. So we ARE the sons of god and we know this because the Spirit bears witness with our spirit. We are ALIVE in Christ. Now that we are Sons we live that way we walk that way in life every single day. You know if a king has a son and that son knows who he is every single day. The King’s son acts like it when he gets out of bed and when he goes to breakfast. Let’s all think about the king of England. Currently that’s King Charles and he has two sons. They both know fully who they are because they’ve grown up in their sonship and they’ve grown up as a King’s son. The same goes for you and I. We cannot let the enemy lie to us and deceive us which nullify the benefits we have because we will not operate and live in them if we do not take our place as a son or daughter In Him. We can truly walk in the sonship of Christ Jesus.
I love This verse because it says what manner of love the father has bestowed on us that we should be called the Sons of God. You are called a child of the most high. There’s no angel in heaven or in Hell or anywhere that has that title, but only those who are born again and born from above. That is you, that is your calling as a believer in Jesus. That is something that we need to rejoice about and proclaim every morning, thank you Father for making me your son or if you are a female thank you for making me your daughter.
Well what if I don’t feel that way? That is a statement I hear many times from people who have been bogged down by religious thinking for many years and can’t see plainly what the scripture teaches us. We are people of faith and we are not MOVED by our feelings. We are moved by what the Word of God says. Romans 12:2 states that we must Renew our minds by the Word of God. His Word is like taking a bath. I’ll recall a scene where this gentle was swimming in a big river and was so tired he crawled his way out but covered himself in mud. All you could see were his eyes. His skin color was mud. But once he jumped back into the water, it washed him totally clean. That same thing happens to you and I when we read and confess and study the Bible. It’s a bath. Ephesians 5:26-27 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. We are NEW in Christ. The Holy Spirit makes our inner man Brand New and the Word, Christ washes us clean.
That is a promise to us if we continue in His and be His disciple. A new man, a new woman we are. Clean by His word. Isn’t that a great place to be? Only His sons and daughters are in that place, and that is YOU. Claim that stance and live that out in the name of Jesus.
See the earthly mind and thinking goes against what God has for us. The old ways don’t like God’s ways. In fact Romans 8 says they that are of the flesh cannot please God. So we can take that and run with it the other way. We can be of the Spirit. Vs 14 states, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God. What a benefit to being in Christ. We are now led by the Holy Spirit. He was there when God said, let there be light! WOW, in proverbs He is the spirit of Wisdom. He knows all and He will lead us. Jesus said He will show us things to come. Now this gets me excited in the fact that In Christ or In Him we can know things by the Holy Spirit that will happen in the future. Remember Jesus is the spirit of Prophecy. Further in Romans Paul writes, Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray as we ought: but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (8:26) This is a mighty thing that when we pray in the Holy Spirit He prays for us.
All these benefits because we are IN HIM. There is no substitute for Jesus. In Him we move and have our being, says the scripture. As a believer we have to take that stance. You are an heir and a Son so as a Son you walk in the life of Royal. We are Sons and partners in that Royal Heavenly Kingdom.
Stand today and walk in the Sonship you have been reborn into.
In Him – Your Realities – Pt 3

Ok Let’s review, as believers and disciples of Him we have to believe and confess. As the scripture says this is how things change in our lives. Remember Jesus’ words, where he said to say unto this mountain and doubt not in your heart and it should be moved.
ROMANS 8:14
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God …
ROMANS 10:10 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
It is always with the heart that man believes—and with his mouth he makes his confession unto. When you believe a thing in your heart and confess it with your mouth—then it becomes real to you. Faith’s confessions create realities.
As you read some of the “in Christ,” “in Him,” “in whom,” etc., scriptures, they won’t seem real to you. It may not seem as though you really have what these scriptures say you have in Him. But, if you will begin to confess with your mouth, because you do believe God’s Word in your heart, “This is mine. This is who I am. This is what I have,” then it 11 will become reality to you. It is already real in the spirit realm. But we want it to become real in this physical realm where we live in the flesh. So remember as you find these scriptures to:
1. Underline each scripture.
2. Write it down.
3. Meditate on it.
4. Make a confession of it.
5. Begin to say it with your mouth.
Remember the great confession we did as new believers.
ROMANS 10:9-10 9 . . . if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Lets confess this together now:
I believe in my heart Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. I confess Him as my Lord and Saviour. Jesus is my Lord. He is dominating my life. He is guiding me. He is leading me.
This is where He takes us, Psalms 23, the Lord is now my shepherd. He leads me. This is a fundamental change of our NEW reality.
ACTS 17:28 28 For IN HIM we live, and move, and have our being ..
Lets confess this also:
In Him I live … and move … and have my being! What a vast storehouse of power! In Christ my Saviour and Lord I have Life! … Energy! … Strength for the impossible tasks!
JOHN 15:5 & 7 I am the vine, ye are the branches … 7 If ye abide IN ME, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Confession: I abide in Him. I live in Him. He is the vine—I am the branch. The vine is in the branch—and the branch is in the vine. His Life—the Life of God—is in me. His nature —the Love nature—is in me. Just as blood flows through my natural body, His Life flows through my inner man. I will let that Life and Love dominate me.
II CORINTHIANS 5:17 Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Confession: I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. I am a new creation being … with the Life of God … the nature of God … and the ability of God within me.
The Lord is looking at the NEW MAN….. Not the old Dead one
Think about this you are a new creation in Christ Jesus the old things are passed away praise the Lord that is good news. God is on your side he is no longer angry at you he is no longer Against you you are his child so glorify him that is a wonderful thing.
Remember in Hebrews it says that the world was framed by the word of God so you have to frame your life this life that’s in him. Lets remember it’s the great mystery revealed “Christ in you the hope of glory”. Christ is in us so we are in him like back in John 15 he is the vine we are the branches we are grafted the Amplified version says engrafted inside him and that is a great great place to be forever and ever.
Take hold today and be free and stand free because Galatians 5:1 says this: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
